Attorney Biography
Howard Tagg was born on September 6, 1967 in Huntsville, Alabama. Howard attended college at the University of Alabama and Oxford University in Great Britain. While serving as president of the University of Alabama debate team, Howard won a national debate championship and two southeastern regional debate championships. He returned to the University of Alabama to study law and received his Juris Doctorate degree in 1993. Howard has been licensed to practice law in Texas and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas and since 1994.
Howard is active in many civic and charitable organizations in Tyler, Texas. Howard has served as President of the East Texas Food Bank, President of the East Texas Food Bank Foundation, President of the Tyler Junior Chamber of Commerce, and founder and President of the Tyler Jaycees Foundation. He is a graduate of Leadership Tyler. In recognition of his service to the community, Howard has received numerous awards including the Earl Storey Award for Outstanding Service to the Community and the Arthur Leverett Award for Community Service. Howard has also served as the Bishop's Warden and Youth Minister at Saint Luke's Episcopal Church in Lindale, Texas. Howard is married to Jeanine Tagg, an instructor at Kilgore College. Howard and Jeanine have two children, Elizabeth and William.
